All eleven of the first Sherlock Holmes stories, contained in a single book. Originally Doyle had planned to 'kill off' his fictional Victorian- Edwardian crime sleuth at the eleventh instalment, but demand from readers wanting more Holmes won the day. In fact Holmes (& his erstwhile side-kick, Dr Watson) solved many more crimes until the final stories pubblished in 1927.

This book, published by George Newnes, is in overall good condition (althoughIllustrated throughout (Sidney Paget), the pages are clean & binding firm, and despite being 'loose' at the gutter is in overrall good condition.
