International Times (IT or it)
The ‘International Times’, perhaps better known by the acronym IT or it, was the must-read underground newspaper of the 1960s and early 1970s counter-culture in the UK.
The paper's most important period was between 1966- 1973, where it was synonymous with the emergent UK psychedelic music and fashion scene, in particular bands like the Syd Barrett- era Pink Floyd, the UFO Club (London) , post- Mod youth culture, graphic design & experimentation associated with the period. The paper's iconic logo captures the spirit & zeitgeist of the time.
Lots of IT's in stock from 1966 onwards, including many rare editions plus a good selection from the paper's ‘revival’ in the mid- late 1970s, and its transition into the Punk Rock era.
A fascinating slice of social history and pop culture, packed with interesting and provocative writing, art work & music.
