Book of the Month: June 2026-'An Inquiry into the Wealth of Nations' (Adam Smith)

£3,000.00

Originally published in 1776 and often abbreviated as ‘The Wealth of Nations’, this book is widely regarded as one of the most important (and second most cited) books in political economy and theory. Written by Scottish economist and philosopher, Adam Smith ( 1723- 1790), this example is a rare, three volume, 7th edition published in 1793.

‍ ‍Presented in their original leather bindings, this trio of books is in good condition, and the text blocks are largely free of marginalia, foxing and other age- related issues (volume 3, is faded at the spine).

A seminal work, which set the template for modern economic theory, capitalism and the concept of ‘supply and demand’.
