Book of the Month: March 2026- 'Heaven & Hell' (Aldous Huxley)

£0.00

This month's featured book, is Aldous Huxley’s (1894-1963), seminal long-form essay ‘Heaven & Hell’ (1956). The successor to his seminal work ‘The Doors of Perception’ (1954), this book, expanded on key themes explored in ‘The Doors of Perception’, and dealt with mystical philosopy and the universal truth linking all religions. Huxley (an agnostic), was interested in ideas around religion, art, poetry (in particular William Blake, 1757-1827), and the use of psychedlic drugs in psychiatric medicine. Many of Huxley’s beliefs reflected interest in new age and alternative ideas, and he became a key intellectual figure in 1960s counter-culture.

Both copies are first editions (US & UK), and are in very good condition, and bound in their original dust-jackets.
